The women interviewed from the book came from a range of different backgrounds from small mom and pop type shops to women who’ve built multi-million dollar businesses. The variety in types of business and backgrounds of the women in the book show that with hard work and motivation anyone can be successful at starting their own company.

This book certainly has given me some inspiration to go out and start my own business instead of staying in the corporate rat race. I’d recommend this book to anyone thinking of starting a business or looking for some inspiration to pursue their passion.

+ years, I found this book to be very helpful in content and readability. The author asks questions of women business owners and the answers are frank and very informative. It is refreshing to get insight into other womens lives and the demands of their particular business/family arrangements. I felt the author shared alot of useful websites and references to help woman business owners, or women considering their own business opportunities. The mix of women interviewed is great from CPA’s to Virtual Assistance. This book was very informative and a great resource for business ideas.

I reviewed over 12 business books and picked this one! I think women/Mother have different sets of motivations, concerns, and dilemmas than men. This book really talks about the approach that are much more familiar or relating to me as women/mother. There are a lot of good business books are out there, but this book helped me to focus and to make decisions, becuase it addresses my questions in a much more personal ways than other books did. The writer also list various people’s answers which can be pros or cons of certain aspect of starting business. It gives you a good understanding of how it’s like to run business while you are taking a role of a super mom or wife!

Picture a focus group. You’re on the other side of a two way mirror, listening to successful bootstrapping businesswomen share their stories. This is as much a collection of biographies as it is a How To Start and Run a Business book. Much can be gained from this more intimate approach: It’s the real world, applied.
